The American Booksellers Association has just announced the finalists for their inaugural Indies Choice Awards (the hipper incarnation of the old Book Sense Awards). Throwing out the stodgy old categories like Adult Fiction and Children's Literature, they've revamped the awards to include fun new ones like Best Conversation Starter and Most Engaging Author.
