MEENA travels to the UK and Japan; Melody to speak in LA

After an awesome--if a tad exhausting--London International Book Fair, we made two foreign deals for Melody Ermachild Chavis' MEENA, HEROINE of AFGHANISTAN: The Martyr Who Founded RAWA, the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan. Bantam UK will publish the book in the UK and the Commonwealth, and Kobunsha will publish in Japanese. Congratulations to RAWA and Melody!

And continuing her never-ending book tour, Melody will be part of the Los Angeles Festival of Books program called "From Afghanistan to Israel and Iran: Women in the Middle." The panel discussion will be on Sunday, April 25, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., with a book signing to follow. The full panel schedule can be found here.
